You will lead and manage the end to end category management in Digi (Malaysia), mainly heading the sales & marketing and Indirect category, from beginning of the sourcing process (opportunity assessment), recommending and executing the sourcing strategy, negotiation and inclusive of handling pre and post contract management.

 

You are:

  • Experience in using the Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word software and Procure to Pay tool

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop negotiation and sourcing strategy for category management (Portfolio – Professional Services, Facilities Management, Marketing Services, Customer Care), primarily HR, sales, Finance, Technology and marketing vendors for new or existing requirements.

  • Responsible for the overall vendor relationship/performance management for category managed

  • Lead the execution of the strategic sourcing from set-up of project, conduct of RFP/RFQ, conducting of price benchmarks, develop negotiation strategy, lead negotiations until closure of contract in order to execute a structured sourcing process in accordance to the Digi Sourcing Process and SOPP;

  • Take ownership of pricing and commercial terms; negotiations and renegotiations on existing and new contracts in order to meet targeted savings/avoidance with best commercial terms possible; and ensure the technical & commercial agreements are captured, minimize risks and with adequate protection

  • Provide market research, pricing benchmarks and analysis for the commodities/categories assigned as well as the vendor market in supporting the relevant Category Manager. 

  • Identify and deliver opportunities for cost reduction, driving savings in-line with overall business expectation, ensuring targets for cost reduction are achieved

  • Conduct periodical reporting on savings update and project deliverables for management review

  • Undertake any tasks or projects been assigned accordingly by superior

  • Drive business process improvement, drive initiatives that would benefits from department or section stand point

Management and working team in Digi (Mainly Marketing, Consumer Sales, Finance, Technology team, etc.)

The Global Sourcing organization, both in TPC, Oslo and also in all Telenor Business Units worldwide on sourcing and procurement area

 

Your merits

  • Tertiary education in any discipline or 5- 10 years of procurement experience

  • Passionate about improving and developing yourself in the area of sourcing, contracting, negotiating, vendor management and stakeholder management

  • Experience in sourcing, creating strategies, executing projects will be an advantage

  • Application of procurement best practices and supplier negotiation at executive level

  • Experience with transformation processes and change management will be valued
