Self-serve registration allows customers to perform end-to-end registration of SIM cards, from validation to activation stage. During the self-serve registration journey customers will be able to easily register their purchased SIM card by performing the ID and face validation on a mobile web browser using the camera on their mobile devices.
Self-Registration Support
Yes. The following are the requirements:
- You must have less than 5 prepaid SIM cards registered to your ID.
- You will need either of the following valid IDs:
- Malaysian Identity Card (MyKad)
- Passport
- MyKas ID
- MyTentera ID
- MyPR ID
- You must be connected to the Internet, either over WiFi or hotspot/mobile data, to complete the registration.
- You must have a working camera on your device to be used for registration.
Get a device (mobile phone/tablet) with an internet connection. Prepare your ID and be in a room with good lighting.
Step 1: Scan the QR Code at the back of the SIM pack to access the sim registration page.
Step 2: Upon reaching the registration page, scan the barcode on the SIM pack to register SIM pack.
Step 3: Upon successful verification, scan your ID.
Step 4: Once your ID has been successfully verified, proceed to complete your facial recognition.
Step 5: You will be redirected to completion screen.
You can then proceed to insert sim card into your phone and wait for 2-5 minutes for sim activation SMS.
Yes, please use only your original, valid documents in the registration process. You can use any one of these documents:
- Malaysian Identity Card (MyKad)
- Passport
- MyKas ID
- MyTentera ID
- MyPR ID
No, customers are not able to make manual modifications to their details once scanned. However, you can re-scan your ID should the information scanned prior is incorrect to register with the correct information.
Passport users will have to key in their local address manually.

b. The information/details scanned from my ID do not match my ID. | Proceed to re-scan the ID to ensure that the correct details are scanned |
c. Face Recognition failed. | You will have to redo the face recognition selfie in a well-lit area. |
d. Eligibility check failed. The message on the screen reads: “We are unable to process your request. For further assistance, please visit a Digi Store near you.” | Please contact our Customer Service representatives or visit a Digi Store near you for further assistance. |
